Founded in the 1960s in Wyoming, USA, Rocky Mountain Featherbed is renowned for its down garments that combine a distinctive one-piece leather yoke with exceptional functionality. The brand was revived in the modern era by Kinji Teramoto, the founder of 35SUMMERS.
Now, for the very first time, Rocky Mountain Featherbed joins forces with NEEDLES, a brand known for its unique aesthetic and relaxed sensibility, to present a special collaboration piece.
The base of this collaboration is Rocky Mountain Featherbed’s iconic Yoke Down Jacket.
Instead of the brand’s signature single-piece leather yoke, this special edition features a photo print of red-crowned cranes dancing across snowy fields at sunset — a striking design that captures the unique spirit of this collaboration.
Both the outer and lining fabrics are made from lightweight, supple 70-denier nylon taffeta, while the padding is filled with 700-fill-power, water-repellent European down.
This combination achieves an exceptional balance of warmth and lightness, delivering comfort without compromise.
The collaboration includes two styles — a Down Jacket and a Down Vest — available in three colors: BEIGE, PURPLE, and BLACK.
Each piece embodies the shared identity of both brands, resulting in a truly special creation.
